The Shenzhen Forum for the 19th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (“Shenzhen Forum”) hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology (State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) and the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government was grandly inaugurated in Hall 5 of the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center on the afternoon of April 24. Guests including Wang Junming, Director-General of the Department of Foreign Expert Services of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Xia Bing, Deputy Director of China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, Cai Ying, Mayor of Guangming District, Shenzhen, Deng Xiaojun, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, Yang Xiaoming, Chief Engineer of Sinopharm, Ömer Sahin Ganiyusufoglu, winner of the Chinese Government Friendship Award and member of acatech, and Dr. Thorsten Keiter, Senior Vice President of TÜV Rheinland Greater China, attended the Shenzhen Forum to jointly seek the “Chinese opportunities” for sci-tech innovation and development under the new situation.

With a theme of “Gathering Talents for Building a Technological Community during the 14th Five-year Plan Period”, the Shenzhen Forum invited many guests to explore the development paths and new opportunities for sci-tech innovation and talent exchange around contents such as “international sci-tech innovation and cooperation” and “international talent exchange and cooperation” and from perspectives such as applying TCM in pandemic prevention, boosting innovation and development by industrial-academic integration, and upgrading intelligent manufacturing through China-German cooperation.

This year marks the 20th year of the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (“Conference”). The Conference will continue to strengthen sci-tech innovation cooperation and international talent exchange, create a harmonious, stable, open, fair, mutually beneficial, and win-win international innovation environment, promote the building of an innovation community of equal cooperation and mutual benefit, and share the “Chinese opportunities” for sci-tech progress, innovation and development. The Shenzhen Forum, as one of the core parts of the Conference, has attracted tremendous attention for over a decade as a high-level, authoritative, and quality forum and has gradually developed into a “rostrum”, a “megaphone”, and a new paradigm of high-end summits in the areas of international sci-tech innovation cooperation and international talent exchange, which is based in Shenzhen to connect Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, serve China, and radiate the world.
