In order to further promote Yancheng‘s Yellow Sea Pearl Talent Program and "City and Talents" Program to attract a number of excellent talents to adapt to the industrial development of Yandu, Yandu District of Yancheng City opened the special event “Wisdom gathers in Yandu District, Talents converge on High-tech Zone” of the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in Shenzhen from April 24 to 25.

Liu Yongzhi, first-level inspector of China Association of International Exchange of Personnel of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Guo Renzhong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhuang Wei, an academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, and Yu Xiancheng, president of China Technical Application Association for Global Positioning System, were invited to attend the Conference's special event of Yandu held in Shenzhen in the afternoon of April 24. Mr. Sun Jiadong, a recipient of the Medal of the Republic, a hero in the making of "missiles, nuclear bombs, and the artificial satellite", and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, addressed the event via video. There were a total of more than 130 Chinese and foreign experts and scholars present at the event including professors of the French University of Science and Technology, Davide, President of Lorraine University of Science and Technology, Florian, a distinguished professor at the College of Materials Science and Engineering of Shenzhen University, Philip, a professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, and other foreign experts and professors, and 18 national major talent project experts. Director Liu Yongzhi and Guo Renzhong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, deliver speeches on behalf of the honored guests at the meeting. Yuan Jiazhen issues internship invitation letters to outstanding graduates from some national universities who will soon come to Yancheng and Yandu for employment. Cheng Delin, Chairman of Yancheng Kang Linda Biotechnology Co. Ltd., and Yang Fei, a student from Sun Yat-sen University, speak respectively on behalf of successful entrepreneurs and outstanding graduates.

A signing ceremony is also held on-site, and 10 talent projects are successfully signed. At the end of the event, the launching ceremony of the 4th "Beidou Star" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is also held. It is understood that the "Beidou Star" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is a highly anticipated professional event in the vertical field of the Beidou industry, sponsored by GNSS &. LBS Association of China with the support of the China Association for Science and Technology. In June of this year, the Yancheng National High-tech Zone will host the Yandu district competition of the 4th "Beidou Star" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

In this event, Yandu District sets up an exhibition hall for Yancheng National High-tech Zone at the venue of Conference on International Exchange of Professionals. Various methods are applied in the exhibition hall such as videos, live broadcasts, pictures, and text, demonstrating the location advantages, industrial characteristics, and ecological environment of Yandu District and Yancheng National High-tech Zone, offering a gave detailed explanation of Yancheng's "Yellow Sea Pearl" talent plan and Yandu's "Duzhihui" talent plan. Wang Zhigang, Minister and Party Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, visits and guides the exhibition hall in person and fully praises the work of Yandu in science and technology talent. At the high-level talent recruitment fair, over 100 high-paying positions are offered by 22 enterprises in Yandu District, attracting a large number of high-level talents to consult and sign intention contracts on-site. Prior to the promotion conference, a colloquium on the National Major Talent Project is convened, as well as the First Council of Yandu District Outstanding Talents Alliance (Shenzhen).

Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP), which has been held for 19 times so far, is a national-level, internationalized and comprehensive exhibition and negotiation event with the theme of "innovation, development, cooperation and win-win" for China's international scientific and technological innovation and talent exchange. Since 2018, Yandu District has participated in this event for three consecutive years, organizing more than 70 companies to participate in relevant activities and introducing 58 overseas high-level talents and more than 1,230 domestic talents. Some talents introduced through the conference have invested and settled in Yandu District.
