Shenzhen Working Group of Organizing Committee Goes to Beijing to Report on Matters Related to the 21st Session

On February 8, the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission (SSTIC) and the Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel went to Beijing to report on matters related to the 21st Conference on International Exchange of Professionals to the Department of Foreign Expert Services, Ministry of Science and Technology, and the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel (CAIEP). Wang Junming, Director and Li Xin, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Expert Services, Ministry of Science and Technology, Xia Bing, Deputy Director of CAIEP, Wang Youming, Party Secretary and Director and Li Huilai, Deputy Director of SSTIC, Li Hai, Director of Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel, and the heads of relevant departments of each unit attended the meeting.

Director Wang Youming said that the 21st session of the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals is an important task assigned by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. The SSTIC will fully mobilize the city's resources to guarantee the preparatory work, and introduced the current situation and initiatives for introducing talents and intelligence in Shenzhen.

Deputy Director Xia Bing briefly introduced the preparations for the key activities of the 21st session.

Director Wang Junming emphasized that it is of great significance to hold the event offline under the current international situation. He hoped that the SSTIC will, while carrying out the preparatory work with every effort, not only strengthen the contact with the Ministry of Science and Technology, but also communicate and cooperate with other provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, especially Guangdong Province, to jointly hold a successful event. When introducing talents and intelligence, Shenzhen City should intensify the promotion of key support programs for foreign experts and key R&D programs, strengthen environmental construction, retain talents with the environment, and provide security for foreign experts in various terms.

At the meeting, the relevant participants also exchanged views on the preparatory work of the 21st session and the work related to foreign experts, and all of them said that they would maximize their respective strengths to advance the preparation and make the event a core platform in the field of international talent exchange and technological innovation, an important pool of the world's talents, and an innovation center.
