The 15th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) was held successfully in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province from April 15 to 16, 2017. The conference was held in Halls 1 to 5, and all conference rooms of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, with a total exhibition area of 65,000 square meters. During the conference, 115 meetings and activities were held, which were attended by more than 4,600 professional organizations, training institutions, colleges and universities, high-tech enterprises and human resources organizations from 72 countries and regions, and a total of 17,800 professional representatives, including more than 8,500 representatives of foreign experts and overseas high-level talents, and more than 9,300 representatives from human resources, science and technology, education departments, and talent introduction enterprises of provinces and cities.
According to available statistics, the conference attracted a total of 83,000 visitors and negotiators; more than 2,800 cooperation intentions for talent attraction projects were reached between provinces & cities and professional organizations, training institutions, and overseas students, of which more than 320 overseas institutions such as International Executives Council, Echanges et Consultations Techniques Internationaux, MATAT Knowledge from Israel, and International Cooperation Association of the Commonwealth of Australia, effectively cooperated with the talent introduction departments and enterprises of all provinces and cities.
In terms of talent recruitment, eight job fairs, namely the Job Fair for Foreign Professionals, the Spring Job Fair for Fresh College Graduates in China, the “Internet +” Job Fair, the Job Fair for Staff of Public Institutions, the Job Fair for Returnees, the Job Fair for Software Talent, the “Elite World” Job Fair and the “Intelligent Hiring of Top 100” Job Fair of Famous Enterprises for Middle to High-end Talents, were held during the conference. At these job fairs, a total of 1,258 enterprises provided more than 31,380 job opportunities for high-end talents at both home and abroad, and received 4,062 resumes on site, reaching a preliminary employment intention rate of 20%.
